In 1995, Lori joined IdeaStudio as creative director; two years later, she bought the company. In the 15 years since, she and her staff have transformed an erstwhile graphic design studio into a chain restaurant-focused consulting firm with a growing national reputation.
As president and creative director of IdeaStudio, Lori utilizes a proprietary, research-based process to help restaurant clients align and refine their branding. Vital aspects of this process involve helping clients to identify and understand customers and their expectations, and then assisting them to implement strategic, results-oriented marketing plans.
IdeaStudio’s work has consistently produced verifiable results that meet or exceed clients’ business-building goals. It has also drawn attention from a variety of national media outlets. Lori and her company have recently appeared in publications that include The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! Finance, and QSR Magazine.
Lori produces a regular blog called “Thought for Food” that covers restaurant industry topics and issues. Additionally, she makes speaking appearances both locally and nationally, addressing chain restaurant trends and marketing strategies. Most recently, she was featured on the Patt Morrison Show broadcast on NPR station KPCC in San Diego.
A native Tulsan, Lori earned her degree in visual communications from the University of Oklahoma and honed her skills in marketing communications as an art director at Brothers & Company Advertising and Ackerman McQueen. She currently lives in Tulsa with husband Jeff and sons Jaden and Tyler.
